Shock, serious accident

March 2016: while the confinement and the state of war is announced by the President of the Republic Emmanuel Macron, Paule Caron is victim of a serious accident that causes her to gradually lose the mobility of her fingers. In order to re-educate herself, she starts drawing for the first time on i-pad and composing music. Little by little, she draws her daily world in the neurosurgery department of the hospital.

She dedicates her drawings to the hospital staff who care for her and make her daily life easier: the drawings come to life and are the occasion for communication, laughter, and connivance within the department, which allows her to live days beyond the masks and Covid outfits that make almost all humanity disappear in the care and relationships experienced within the hospital.

Drawing brings life to life, it enhances the work of all the caregivers and makes them laugh: and laughter is health.

Paule Caron’s drawings will be printed, framed and exhibited in hospitals.
